Going Paperless

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

We’re trying to make our place – and yours – clutter-free by implementing a paperless document management system.  This involves integrating software systems and we’ve appointed Patrick Woodruff as Information Technology Administrator to make it happen.  He’s an expert in Extract, Transport and Load (ETL) applications and developed a process to convert faxed purchase orders into EDI-standard electronic documents.  Patrick has a strong background in financial services, having managed IT operations for a bank and a mortgage company.  During the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, he was a Signals Intelligence Analyst for the US Army in Japan.  Currently he’s completing a degree in anthropology at the University of South Florida.

Say Hi to Sam!

We are very happy to introduce our new Contract Bond Customer Service Representative, Samantha Dent.  Sam brings an upbeat personality and several years of surety bond experience to her new position.

She has a penchant for continuing education and has her 2-20 General Lines Agent’s License and is finishing up her Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB Designation), and she is a Notary Public.  She’s active in the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., Associated General Contractors of America and the Florida Surety Association.

Originally from the Cincinnati, Ohio area (Maineville, near King’s Island), she attended college in Michigan.  After graduating from Eastern Michigan University, she started her career in Farmington Hills, Michigan and moved to the Tampa Bay area seven years ago.  She and husband Bill have a daughter, Sophie.

When she’s not continuing her education, researching the best surety bonds for customers or chasing her two-year-old, Sam enjoys photography and scrapbooking.  She’s a big University of Michigan fan and roots for Ohio State when they’re not playing UM.
